About RFID Labels
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is an automatic identification method using devices called RFID Tags or transponders that rely on radio waves. In our case, we provide chip-based RFID Tags in the form of a label which contains a silicon chip and antennae that can be affixed to the outside of most, but not all containers. If you are unsure as to whether or not a RFID Tag can be affixed to your shipping container, please contact us prior to submitting your order and we will assist you with the issue at hand.
DoDPackingLabels.com combines the RFID Tag with the Military Shipment Label (MSL). However, we can provide a MSL without the RFID capabilities. Our RFID Tag and MSL's look identical with the exception of the backside of the two labels. The backside of the RFID Tag is where the chip/antennae is located.
The RFID Tags produced by DoDPackingLabels.com are Passive RFID Tags that meet the EPCglobal Class 1, Generation 2 (96-bit Alien Squig) Standard.
All data encoded to RFID Tags must be unique in that no two RFID Tags shall contain identical information. DoDPackingLabels.com can assure that your RFID Tag will be unique because all information previously used has been saved and logged into our software database!
DoDPackingLabels.com guarantees that your RFID Tag(s) will be "readable". We confirm this by using our in-house "Reader" to scan or read the RFID Tag prior to your order being shipped!
Advance Shipment Notification - Any Vendor or Contractor obligated to comply with Passive RFID Tags must electronically send an Advance Shipment Notification (ASN) which is to include the RFID Tag Number as well as the quantity packed within that container. DoDPackingLabels.com cannot under any circumstances send an ASN for your company!
